Ambassador James T. Laney
President Emeritus, Emory University

Ambassador Laney has served as the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, as the Dean of the Candler School of Theology, and is an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church. Laney also holds honorary degrees from 16 institutions, and graduated from Yale University with honors in economics and divinity. Laney also holds a Ph.D. as a Macintosh Fellow from Yale.

Ambassador Andrew Young
Chairman, Good Works International, LLC

Ambassador Young has served as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, mayor of the city of Atlanta, and as co-chairman of the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. Young has also served as a representative in Congress for Georgia's 5th district, and as the executive director of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Young is also an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ.

Mr. Douglas W. Gatlin
Executive Director, Faith And The City

Mr. Gatlin was formerly president of a consulting firm dedicated to developing beneficial relationships between the Kansai region of Japan and Southern Africa. He has served as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Atlanta, Executive Director of the Atlanta Organizing Committee, Senior Vice President of the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games and Executive Director of the Southern Africa Enterprise Development Fund. He was a founding Director of Cycle Aid for Africa (based in Osaka, Japan) and of Olympic Aid (w/UNICEF).

Dr. David O. Jenkins
Director, Faith And The City, Candler School of Theology, Emory University

Dr. Jenkins has served a variety of communities in the U.S. and abroad, including Duke University where he was United Methodist Campus Minister and Instructor. He served Atlanta as Executive Director of the Christian Council of Metropolitan Atlanta, and is an elder in the North Carolina Annual Conference.

Mr. John Baker Brown Jr.
Communications Director, Faith And The City

Mr. Brown has served as vice president for college relations at Morehouse College, editor of The Atlanta Tribune, spokesperson and media relations manager for AT&T, and account supervisor with Cohn & Wolfe public relations. For more than a decade, he has worked with corporate, nonprofit, and government organizations in the Atlanta metropolitan community as a freelance writer and consultant. He currently teaches a communications course at the Interdenominational Theological Center.

Mr. Stanley Leary
Webmaster, Faith And The City

Mr. Leary is a 1993 graduate of the Master of Communications program of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has spent most of his professional life working as a photographer/photojournalist for newspapers, magazines and colleges. He currently is a freelance photographer living in Roswell, GA. He has been doing web design for non-profits in addition to his own website for his photography.
