The Heart As It IS -- Spirituality and Writing
Description: will conduct a workshop on The Heart As It IS -- Spirituality and Writing, at Central Church. Browne has published collections of his poems and short stories in books, magazines and anthologies. As a librettist, he has written many texts for music, working principally with composers Stephen Paulus and John Foley S.J. Browne teaches at the University of Minnesota, where he is Professor of English and winner of two Distinguished Teacher awards. A new collection of poetry, Things I Can't Tell You, will be released in 2004. He currently is working as the librettist with Stephen Paulus on a major new work on the Holocaust. He conducts workshops on spirituality and writing across the United States. Sponsored by the Paul Rice Center for Spiritual Practice, a donation of $15 is requested.
