"Sent by Christ as Witnesses"

Description: Don't miss your opportunity to be part of a historic event! Rev. Anthony M. Alford, Sr., President of the Regional Council of Churches of Atlanta, and Rev. David Sapp, Pentecost Event Chair, invite you to join representatives from churches throughout the metro area, as they gather to worship together at a region-wide celebration of Pentecost. The Rev. Dr. James A. Forbes, Jr., Senior Minister of The Riverside ChurchÑone of the largest interdenominational, interracial and international congregations in the countryÑwill deliver a special message in keeping with the day's theme, "Sent by Christ as Witnesses." Each participating congregation and organization is invited to bring a sign or banner and a vial of water to pour into a baptistery font, demonstrating both the diversity and unity of the body of Christ in the Atlanta region.
