The Faith Alliance of Metro Atlanta (FAMA) has been established and is now in formation. Faith And The City will provide additional information when it becomes available. Meanwhile, the following information is provided. Click here for upcoming FAMA events.

Mission
To promote understanding, respect, prayer, interaction, and unity among the diverse faiths in the greater Atlanta region, and to advance the influence and voices of the faith communities for the common good.

Goals
Communal Prayer: To foster interfaith and multi-faith occasions for prayer, meditation and celebration among the region's religious communities.
Education on Religion: To encourage and provide opportunities for learning about the rituals of prayer, worship, meditation, and the values and beliefs of the region's various religious traditions.
Dialogue: To organize and promote thoughtful multi-faith and interfaith dialogue concerning important issues of the day.
Cooperation and Networking: To stimulate and foster cooperation between people and groups actively engaged in religious and inter-religious work.
Advocacy and Action: To be a unified and/or coordinated, ethical force for justice and the common good.

Constituencies
FAMA serves the metropolitan area of Atlanta and specifically the local congregations, masjids, synagogues, temples, monasteries, centers, colleges, and seminaries of its various faith traditions.

FAMA includes representatives from regional religious, interfaith and ecumenical organizations, and the religious studies programs of local universities, colleges, institutes and seminaries.

FAMA welcomes all individuals with a strong interest in interfaith work.
