Issues: Social Environment

Our community is black and white, red, yellow, and brown. It is Hispanic, Hindu, and Vietnamese. It is Northern European and South American, West African, Middle Eastern, Central Asian, Cherokee, and more.

Race, religion, age, class, sexual orientation. Will we ever learn to live together? Are people today more or less biased than previous generations? Is great diversity a blessing or a curse? Why does Sunday morning remain the most segregated time in our nation? Why are most neighborhoods in our Atlanta metro community still largely segregated by race? What role does economics play? Are we treating our seniors with the respect they deserve? What does your faith say to you on this issue?
