Rabbi Joshua Lesser was one of 15 Jews who joined equal numbers of Muslims and Christians from the metro Atlanta community for the Atlanta World Pilgrims' trip in November to the predominantly Islamic nation of Turkey. As a Jew, Lesser explained, the experience gave him a fuller appreciation of his ties with the other two Abrahamic faith traditions represented on the pilgrimage, for which, of course, the East also is a spiritual home.

Announcement: "The Economics of Healthcare"
This week's topic for the new weekly cable TV program, Faith And The City Forum, is "The Economics of Healthcare." The interfaith dialogue on public issues airs Tuesday mornings at 7:30 a.m. and repeats Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. on Atlanta Interfaith Broadcasters cable network. Hosted by veteran Atlanta newswoman Steen Miles, the 30-minute panel discussion features a range of clergy, laity, and subject experts representing a cross-section of faith traditions and discussing a variety of public issues.

Event: Jean Vanier to lead Christian Unity Retreat
Jean Vanier, Founder of L'Arche, will lead a two-day retreat in June of 2003. L'Arche is an international federation of residential communities for those with mental disabilities. Participants will represent a variety of Christian traditions.
