Highlights of the Tri-Jurisdictional Survey
A total of 6,956 people were found to be homeless on the night of March 11 and the morning of March 12, 2003, in the Tri-jurisdictional area that includes the city of Atlanta and the counties of Fulton and DeKalb. These people were living on the streets or in shelters, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, or institutions. Interviews were conducted with more than 1,000 of these homeless persons.
