Faith Alliance of Metro Atlanta elects officers

At its Feb. 13 luncheon meeting, the Faith Alliance of Metro Atlanta elected a new slate of officers, including a new president, Rabbi Josh Lesser of Congregation Bet Haverim, who succeeds Imam Plemon El-Amin, resident imam of the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam.

Vice presidents include Rev. Jill Ulrici, associate pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Buckhead, and Ms. Shelley Rose, associate director, Southeast Region of the Anti-Defamation League. Mr. Doug Gatlin, executive director of Faith And The City, will serve as the organization’s treasurer, and Ms. Tayyibah Taylor, publisher and editor-in-chief of Azizah Magazine, as secretary.

FAMA’s mission is to promote understanding, respect, prayer, interaction, and unity among the diverse faiths in the greater Atlanta region, and to advance te influence and voices of the faith communities for the common good.
