The Southern Institute for Business
and Professional Ethics
April 2005
The Southern Institute series kicks off on June 15 with Does Religion Have a Place in the Workplace?: Emerging Issues in Employee Relations. This interactive and informative seminar will be held at the corporate headquarters of UPS. Case histories will be presented by several leading employers. Experts will provide practical guidance for navigating the legal and employee-relations issues arising from religious expression and practice in the workplace.
On July 27, we will offer a unique seminar that will interest any manager. Ethics for Managers 101: An Introduction to Critical Issues in Business Ethics is back by popular demand and will be held at the offices of Troutman Sanders, LLP, in midtown Atlanta. A concise course in business ethics to greatly enhance any manager's competency in leading productive discussions of issues with peers and employees. Using an exciting online business simulation, this seminar gives participants the knowledge, language and perspective to address ethics as a practical matter in organizations.
Finally, on August 24, we will present, Ethics and Compliance in the Global Marketplace: Management Strategies for Doing Business Abroad, to be held at Delta Air Lines corporate headquarters. A variety of companies will share best practices in international ethics and compliance. Experts will provide perspectives, new information and policy guidance for managing business conduct abroad.
We are especially grateful to Georgia-Pacific Corporation for support that makes it possible to offer these high-quality programs at a very affordable cost.
The Southern Institute for Business and Professional Ethics is one of the nation's leading organizations working to promote ethical leadership and business integrity.
