The following questions are offered to encourage discussion of this important public issue.
1. How would you rate your knowledge of North and South Korea prior to the program? Did you know, for example, how the peninsula came to be divided into two countries? Does this information influence your view of the issue? Why or why not?
2. Do you agree or disagree with the characterization of North Korea as part of the so-called ŇAxis of EvilÓ? Please explain your response?
3. In your opinion, why is South Korea substantially more prosperous than North Korea? What does this imply, if anything, about the importance of politics and culture?
4. One panelist posed this question: How do we simultaneously maintain peace in the peninsula and demilitarize North Korea? How would you answer?
5. Are the challenges of the Korean Peninsula a problem for the United Nations or the United States -- for both or neither?
6. Has this program or the associated discussion of the issue led you to any new ideas, insights, or resolve regarding this issue. If so, what will you do differently?
